So, this have been one of these works that have been there in the back of my head. And even though I all the time been fully aware that I have to finish it, I just haven’t. But yesterday I finally took my self together and put together the whole thing.
The movie was originally meant to be shown on dual projectors and due to that the file is crazy wide. So to view it in somewhat alright conditions please do so in full screen.
There might be some small corrections to it that I will do later but it’s finished in general.
So some more work on the magazine to book assignment. More pages and small tweaks on the ones already there. All pages probably need more work but I think I’m getting there.
A new work in Progress for Hansje van Halem for an assignment to convert a newspaper to a book or the other way around.
I don’t really have a relationship to a newspaper, I’m in what could be considered the ”past newspaper” generation. So to make things a little interesting and to have something to work with I choose The Sun. So did almost half of rest of the class to… ouch.
Well lets see what we all can make out of this [if I may say so]; rubbish excuse of an magazine.
So here is an early sketch of the first pages. For the fainthearted there is some nudity on page 4 so watch out.
It’s not as dramatic as it might sound. It’s more of a tribute to pamuk.
Anyhow. First week of Istanbul was great. Interesting city, but everthing takes 2 hours to do if it’s just to buy a pen.
The big negative thing with this trip have been the last 4 days that I spent in bed suffering a stomach bug that more or less robbed me of the experience Istanbul.
So hopefully I’m getting well soon and can enjoy the last days. In any case it will be nice to come back to holland.
